Tactical vest feedback

Hi

I am looking for a vest that has good ventilation an/or breathable. that can hold 6+ mags and pistol.
Any recommendations?
The one I found is this one - Does anybody owns Tactical vest with cross draw - similar to this one ?

I have this one and its great.
However long term solution seems to be to get a plate carrier.
As much as i hate to say it, ZIPS are a bad idea.

I have the Black UTG cross-draw vest and also the Multicam one Dr Pepper linked to, find both great, cross-draw is much more secure than a drop-leg holster in my opinion.

Zips never caused me any problems, once they are decent strong zips they will hold any stress you put them under (from either inside or outside )
Plate carriers just dont suit my personal taste.

The vests also have adjustment straps at the sides to allow for different sizing.

I got the ATS War Belt
And a few Trip M4 pouches, dump pouch and a general pouch, they fit nicely and with suspenders it is comfortable and there is loads of room for air to get at you.

then there are bandolier options as well. for winter, i doubt brathability will be much of an issue. you will probably be happy to have the insulation of a vest. just wanted to throw those options out to you.

I have Russian issue vest, but it is litterlaly made out of plastic and at the end of the game it feels like I've been swimming.
All summer I used a belt with MOLLE pouches attached. The problems is that the are located very low and it makes if uncomfortable to kneel or sit.

I find that I use 3-5 mid caps mags in a game, so I need 5+, I need radio, pistol with a mag and sometimes loader with additional ammo. and this is a min load for an intense hourly game. I was considering molle belt with bandoleer but I think all my stuff will not fit on it.

I like this one because of the zip fastening/opening and rapid Release (if I am every WIA and need CPR due to my old age...). Well really I like it cause it fits my rather large girth and has loads of room for attachments and is a replacment for my woodland FSBE. Great quality but comes with no pouches etc.

Totally gucci really. That said, it comes-off in a second for when I need to move faster than my usual snail pace - or if I feel I'm gonna pass out. The belt is fantastic and carries all I need to keep going. Not alot else I could say except I suppose I got it as an alternative to my MC CIRAS which I used for the last year. Loads of extras and loads of $$.

Used this for over a year and it was the mutts nutts. Only criticism might be that it's very hot in summer - but arent they all. Loads of pouches and very good quality like the above two.

My first woodland vest. Disliked initially due to the lack of adjustment and my large size. Only after I emailed the seller about the size issue did they change the size description... I had extra velcro added and have used it for many months with great results. Great buy if you are on a tight budget and are not too large. Lighter than all the others.

My advice on above - If you've loads a $ get the CP Armor:D, best value is the CIRAS and if you're on a low budget; the FSBE is good too.

Me - I just use the RAV and CP Vest nowadays. (if I ever get out again):(

If you dont want to splash out grab a SAAV, cheap, durable and they do the job. I got burned for mine but I think tony has them for 35.

I'd say it's important to get a wear of it before you buy it.

I know a few lads who have vest that never see the light of day because they don't fit properly or the mag pouches aren't exactly what they had hoped.

Unfortunately because a lot of us order gear online its not always possible to try on the vests.

However once I found a style of vest that suited me I stuck with it. I have to say the crossdraw vests I have are from three different sources but in form and function there is nothing between then. So I have the same setup regardless of camo choice.

Unfortunately I'll not likely find one in cadpat so I'll have to settle for olive green.
