has anyone ever been to one of "Club Royale" tournaments? a good friend of mine and a very gifted tournament player goes to a lot of tournaments around the wicklow area and he turned up at one of his events in wicklow town, walked in, registered and paid, Where do i sit says he and organiser simply said anywhere you like, is this how he runs his events everywhere or did he just not care about the wicklow tournament?

I've played with them, but not the wicklow game. They run a good game. maybe they weren't expecting big numbers (1 table) but i would've thought a seat draw was the way to go - no matter how trivial. I remember they did this in a game they ran in bray and it was ever so slightly frowned upon, even by some of the regs. Maybe they'll come on and explain what the thinking is around the sit anywhere rule.
