Yes, all credit to the Irish farmers, their artifically high food prices and hard earned subsidies.

    you sir are an idiot

farmers do not set their prices they take what they get from Meat Factories like Kepak etc

subsidies where put in place to keep food prices low, without subsidies alot of farmers would go out of businness

so who is making the money companies like kepak and Tesco dunnes stores etc

If I don't like it I don't buy it. Some days the food is plain unfit for human consumption (why do they put grated cheddar on pasta?! What next, buttermilk in the tea?)
    farmers are aloud to complain

Was that a bad typo or a worse pun?

Show everyone some mercy and re-read what you type before you post.

Yes, and I am a 18 year old Swedish blonde who feels so, so lonely some nights. With respect Mr. (Ms? Mrs?) Dickie the burden of proof for a that claim to be taken seriously is on you.

And I might be from Sweden, but even I know that, as sometimes beautiful, sometimes chaotic compositions of shredded paper of different colours and textures, collages rarely employ management accountant lecturers, though I conceed colleges do.

(Perhaps you're from Norway and feel asleep in English class? Norway, more like snore-way, yes?)

The EU offers preferential trade to its member nations. This means that it offers less than preferential trade to non-EU member nations. This means artifically high food prices.

Ireland's meat industries exist today because of interest groups like the Irish Farmers Association have strong political influence in this country, and will make heads role if they think deals aren't favourable. It is not because of flawless and unparalleled quality control.

As for farmers going out of business, farmers are staying in business because of subsidies that come out of tax revenue, not because they are competitive. Companies like Kepak, Tesco and Dunnes Stores don't get subsidies so must compete in the marketplace; do not try and blame they for profiteering without any proof.

After all, only an idiot accuses someone of something without proof, Kazu.

    (So, so lonely right now...)
