    Hey guys...

Just wondering if anyone that travels this route would be able to tell me what time I would need to be leaving Newbridge to get into Dublin City Centre (Pearse Street area) for 8.45?

And any recommendations on routes to take/avoid. I travel to Newbridge a couple times a week, but normally outside of rush hour, so no idea what it's like early in the morning.

    Thanks for any input.
    Keith

    Ok then i'll start.

I get the 126A (Rathangan Bus)in the morning @7:15 from Tesco it drops me at the Red Cow at about 7:55. Not sure how long it take to get to town from red cow, but it couldn't be any more than 30 mins from the red cow could it?

Great thing is it by-passes Naas it get on the motorway at B+Q and is usually only 1/3 full.
I think it goes to Stephens green, but I'm not 100% on that.

Got the 7:30 bus a few times its a disaster, goes via naas & every stop after.

I live in Kildare and the best way without any question is the train.

This morning I got the 7:14am train from Kildare town and was in City centre just after 8. I got to read the paper and listen to music on the way while sipping my coffee.

    Waay too relaxing!

Oh I should have probably mentioned that by car is kind of a requirement...

Figured I might drive to Tallaght Luas Park + Ride and leave the car there and get the Luas to connolly? Leaving Newbridge at approx 7.15/7.20

I'd be inclined to just drive to the Red Cow Park & Ride. Don't see the point in going to Tallaght when the Luas is going to back through the Red Cow anyway. Leaving at 7.20, would say you'd be in the car park before 8am. Should be in City Centre by 8.35ish

Reason for going to Tallaght was to avoid traffic congestion between newland's cross and the red cow with the road works and such.

Not at that time. I leave Newbridge a bit before 8 and get to Cherrywood approx 9am. Very much doubt there will be much traffic at all if you are at the Red Cow p&r by 8am which you will easily do leaving at 7.15am

Sorted, had to travel this route this morning.

Got on N7 at Newbridge south/Curragh at 7.10 or so, got to Red Cow Luas P+R at about 7.45 and got the Luas in from there to connolly. Traffic was OK and I was tempted to continue driving into town but decided it would be less hassle to get on the Luas.
