PSP wont power up....Help !!

Hi, My psp wont power up. It works fine of the battery but I cant charge it.. I'm pretty sure I know why too, I didn't have my charger with me one day so stupidly tried a spurious charger instead, since then No power. :(:o Anyone know what I can do, is it a write off? Cheers BG
