Ive fond memories of the films they used to show after the Late Late in the 80s.Southern comfort,Women in love,Halloween,American werewolf in London to name but a few.The joys of being able to stay up till half 12,when the telly ended.

Oh yeah, that was a real treat. 'Hallowe'en' really scared forty colours of sh*te out of me':eek:The scene where silly Laurie sits like an eejit with her back to the room where your man's lying and he sits up, nearly gave me a heart attack. Nowadays it's a common occurence in films.
Remember too, away back, there used to be a 'Horror double bill' on a Sat night. The first one would be an old black and white like 'The Bat' or 'The Wolfman' and the second one would be a slightly more modern effort like 'Twins of Evil' or 'Blood from the Mummy's Tomb'. They were deadly. My friend and me used to take turns watching them in each other's houses.

They had a series of horror films on every Friday night after the Late Late, round '94 - with the likes of the Omen trilogy, Poltergeist trilogy, Night of the Living Dead etc in there.

That was the first time I saw Evil Dead II. :D Even back then I knew it was great.

I remember watching them better than any of the horrors they are making nowadays!

Myself and one other kid in my class were the only ones in our year allowed to stay up late and watch horror movies on a Friday. We'd always be discussing something like The Fly II or Poltergeist III on Monday morning.
