    thinking about going sum where in the new year just for a break will be goin with my boyfriend and mite even have it double as his christmass present !! was thinking amsterdam??? or any other suggestion we are in our early twentys looking for sumwhere cheapish with alot to do !! cheers

    You give us no indication of simple things like budget or how far you are willing to travel.

    Give a little info and you might get a better response. Most European cities have lots to do and are cheap to stay in depending on how you book.

    Most cities have been covered here already, try a search.

    amsterdam is a great place!!
    Even if you didnt want to smoke amsterdams finest theres ALOT to do there.
    Like I said its a great place so id say give it a go if you're up for it haha.

    Amsterdam is a great place to go to, I've been there a few times and its not simply a drugs city. There are perhaps four different types of holiday you can have there; the drugs holiday (fun!), a drink and clubbing holiday (Fun!) a cultural holiday, its a beautiful city, lots to see, museums etc etc, or a sex type holiday (creepy)

    The red light district can be a tad dodgy but other than that the city is fantastic, go to Durty Nellies Irish Bar - great craic!

    Really don't see what people see in Amsterdam but each to their own I guess.

    I'd have to strongly recommend Berlin. Much more to do than Amsterdam, a LOT cheaper and the people are a lot sounder. Also, the flights there are also cheaper than to say Eindhoven where you fly into with Ryanair for A'dam. Plus, the airport that Ryanair fly into in Berlin is the same as Aer Lingus, just about a half hour from city centre

    There's history, shopping, and the best nightlife in Europe as far as I'm concerned.

    Do a search and you'll find a bit on here about Berlin.

    I was giving my opinion and qualified it by saying each to their own.

    But you obviously can't read. Take your sarcastic attitude elsewhere. It's not welcome around here.

    And if you think the clubs in Amsterdam are "GREAT", try some Berlin and get back to me.
