Big year for Super League ahead, with the addition of two new teams to the competition. (Salford and Wales based Celtic Crusaders). Personally I can't wait and with the Celtic Crusaders getting Leeds first up at Headingley, couldn't be a better start to the comp. Roll on the sixth of Feb!

    Opening fixtures:

    Friday, 6 February, 2009:
    Leeds Rhinos v Celtic Crusaders

    Sunday, 8 February, 2009:
    Harlequins v Bradford Bulls
Wigan Warriors v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats

    Friday, 13 February, 2009:
    Hull FC v Wigan Warriors
Leeds Rhinos v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats
Salford City Reds v Celtic Crusaders
    St Helens v Warrington Wolves

    Saturday, 14 February, 2009:
    Catalans Dragons v Huddersfield Giants

    Sunday, 15 February, 2009:
Bradford Bulls v Hull Kingston Rovers
    Castleford Tigers v Harlequins

6 February? It's too long to wait :(

A bit O/T , but have the fixtures for the Magic weekend been announced anywhere yet? Thinking of heading over for the craic.

No news on it yet, think it'll be late march or april before they announce the line up, can't wait..love Edinburgh...brilliant location for the weekend and I hope the locals get on board and turn out for a taste of top quality League.

What are they going to call Magic weekend now it's not in the Millenium stadium? Will it just be Murrayfield Magic?

Super League have announced a new play-off system for next season, which is 'ahem' interesting to say the least....

I thought the old system was a bit too complicated, have to see this one in practise before I judge it tbh.

The week three scenario where the highest placed team get to pick who they play is interesting, don't think I've ever come across a scenario like hat before in a play-off system. Should be an interesting year for the SL.
