Decent Compact Point and Click Digital for under €150?

Looking for a new camera for my mother for Christmas. She'd want a compact mainly for travel and baby photos, upgrading from a 5 megapixel Fuji that she's had for a few years.

This seems like good value to me though if anyone can point me in the direction of something better for a similar price I'd appreciate it. The sheer range of cameras in this price bracket is terrifying...

what about this one in argos, seems ok if you just looking for a compact and for €150, you're getting a 10mp camera.

I bought myself the fuji z100 in pc world in the jervis centre a couple of weeks ago, i'm loving it, it was 149. Easy to use and 8mp. Plus if she's used to fuji mightn't be too hard to learn a new camera, although i don't know if it's the same or different, as this is my first fuji...

There's a good group test of compacts in this price range over on dpreview.com at the moment.

The Fuji Finepix Z Range is a great little collection of compact cameras.

Also, megapixels means practically nothing. My SLR is 6.2MP and it will give far higher quality images than a compact with 12MP. Sensor quality is where it's at, don't get hung up on MP, all modern cameras will suffice for normal needs. Unless you plan on getting them blown up and printed to cover a small wall, ignore it.
