    Starbug800x600.jpg

    Looks very like it.

Don't think it's starbug; thats a bit greener and has legs: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/Other/starbug.htm

    I'm stumped tho.....

Don't think it's starbug, shape is a little off and the colour is too dark. It is familiar though, can't quite place it.

Its a bit dark to be honest. I'm getting curious now myself.

Maybe the air and space museum made their own ship... but that would just be cruel... I'm driven cracked googling spaceships! It does like familiar, but I myself keep thinking starbug, but its not!

    I tried all the usual:

    Babylon 5
    Andromeda
    Firefly
    Thunderbirds

    But nothing

it looks familiar to me too.
Wasn't there another landing craft to starbug in a couple of episodes of red dwarf? It might be that?

the other landing craft was blue midget...but it's not that. Ship looks like an ant a bit

Doesn't seem to be on the Starship dimensions site :/

It looks fairly 80's like, even something from a Gerry Anderson show?

Your question isn't crazy in the slightest..

The model is called 'Starship' and was made in 1990 by a member of MOSI staff as an inspiration piece for a competition MOSI ran with the local press to design a space ship. This was part of the promotion for the 'Out of this World' gallery display that opened in 1991.

The winning design was made in model form also. This is the white, red & black wedge shaped model suspended next to the Starship.

Ah User, Kudos for taking the time email :)

I was going to chance my arm at hitchikers guide before that

Excellent, thanks for the reply. I think I had a nation convinced it was from a TV Show or Film (and myself too)

PS. I'm from Manc and love the MOSI... used to go there as a kid with school and it was my returning for a visit home (at 30 y/o) with my Fiancee that prompted me to take her there and take that picture (No digital camera's back then!)

Keep up the good work and look after that Sinclair C5 :D

Oh, there are loads of them... it would take a lifetime to upload them all.. sorry!

In the air and space museum there are loads of planes and cars and even a helicopter.
