Fruity Loops Question...

Just picked up the program today, great little package but I've managed to bollock up the first 30 seconds of my first song :P

I had the instrument for the melody set to Acoustic Guitar D3 and everything was sounding great until I foolishly decided to start messing around, changing it to Choirs and other stuff to see if anything else would sound good. When I went back to the acoustic sim it had a reverb effect and a volume swell into each note... Its the same with all the acoustic sims now.

I changed the instuments around by dragging them into the same track that the guitar was on if that makes any difference. I'm only new at this but I'm guessing the reverb was tagged on after I put on the choir sim? How do I take effects off?

Also am I able to copy what I've drawn into the piano roll into another track or will I have to draw it out again? Same melody just a different instrument.

Any help would be amazing, cheers!

To copy and paste whole piano roll entries go to the step sequencer, right click on the block with the name of the instrument to the left of the piano roll you want to copy, then go edit->copy. To paste right click the instrument you want to paste into and go edit->paste.

Your acoustic sim problem sounds like you need to select a preset to get you back to normality.

Sorry I'm a bit slow, what you mean by select a preset?

Thanks, the copy and paste was very helpful, saved me alot of time!

when you load up an instrument it comes with presets which will make the instrument sound a certain way.
lets say you load up a piano, itll more than likely have presets that make it sound like a steinway,a yamaha or wurlitzer or something like that.
your guitar instrument should have similar presets to make it sound like certain guitars.
so when you loaded up the original preset it gave you the sound you had in the first place, which you liked until you went tweaking.
so to get that sound back set the instument back to the original preset.
try loading up another instance of the guitar and set it to acoustic guitar d and see if it instantly defaults to the sound you had before the tweaking.
if it does sound the way you like just drag the midi for the meody into that track
