Mirrors Edge - Loading Problem...

I bought Mirrors Edge in HMV in Gatwick airport tonight. I just tried it out, it installed to the HD, but when I run the game, after the initial logo screen, it just goes white and stays white!!

I have tried other games and they are working fine, so that hopefully rules out the drive.

Anyone else having this or seen this problem? Will HMV Dublin replace the game? Whadya think? I'll be damned if I am flying to London again just to replace the game!!!

I bought stuff from HMV.co.uk and tried to change it in HMV on grafton street and any other HMV I went to wouldn't change them. The games were still sealed and all I just wanted to change them as I had already gotten them as a present. They all told be I had to deal with HMV in the UK as they are completly seperate according to the shop managers.

I'd try deleting the game and install it again, and ckeck the disc from damage or a scratch.

    Thanks for the reply..

I tried deleting and re-installing it, no joy. I checked the disc out... seems fine, though there are a couple of sparklies on it that will not buff out.. That might be the problem.

I shall ring the customer care number on the receipt and see what they say. Worst case scenario, i know someone travelling in 2 weeks, so i could get them to change it.

    Thanks,

I returned the game to HMV Grafton Street and they had no problems replacing the game there.

Had I wanted my money back, they would have refunded to my card, there would have been an issue if I had paid in cash in the UK though according to customer services.

I did notice that the game is on special in HMV for the week, for either 34.99 or 39.99.... less than I paid in the airport!!!

Anyway, I got the game and am happy!
