Hey I'm looking to get a new stereo for my girlfriend for christmas, as her car only has a cassette player, just looking for some advice with what would be a good brand or model cd player, also I've never changed player before, i know i need certain type of clip thing to get it out? The wire's will be no problem for me! Its an 05 mini one if that helps, any advice would be great, thanks!

Try miniclub.ie for specific advice, but here's what I know :

The MINI Radio is slightly larger than a standard head unit, so you will need a fascia adapter. The loom and antennae are also slightly different, so you will need adapters for those too. There's a section in the miniclub.ie ICE forum on installing a Dension ICE>link which shows you how to remove the head unit.

hey op just ask the friendly staff at halfords how to do it and for the radio keys, by the parts from them and then just do it yourself.
( be warned many people reckon they know how to wire in a radio just make sure you do before you wreck the car)
