I have an interview on Wednesday and am stumped as to answering 2 questions I am expected to be asked. One is why do you want to work here and the other is what challenges you expect to face working in this role? Any advice

Well, why do you want to work there? ;)

    Things like:
    - I am keen to get into the xyz industry
    - Your company has a great reputation as an employer and within the industry and I would be proud to work here
    - This role sounds like just what I was looking for, especially the xyz aspect

    etc etc etc...

As for what challenges will you face, it's impossible to say without knowing what the job is or your background. Just think about it, imagine yourself in the role. Look through the job details you have and try to visualise in everyday terms what the list of tasks will translate to. Maybe it will be challenging to adapt to a different type of environment, to deal with bigger customers than you're used to or push sales whilst the country is in recession. Whatever you come up with, just make sure you have also thought of a way you will address these challenges and if possible, draw comparisons to times in your past when you have faced similar challenges.

Interview preparation is very introspective, and is actually a great chance to really look at what you've done, how you've done it and how to transfer what you've learned to your new job. My advise would be to just sit down with a pen and paper, write down the things you have achieved so far and how you've done it. Also write down things that didn't go as well as you'd hoped, work out what went wrong and how you could do it better the next time.

Hope that helps, and good luck :)
