ricky done great, but this was a genuine 50/50 fight, paulie is skillfull but hatton did not give him a min, dont know why your knocking it. Edit, plus paulie was in his peak, rjj clearly is long past it and is a bad comparison.

You know what is as annoying as the english media hyping people.
It's Irish people hating and underestimating people purely because they are british

    Relax there cowboy!

And if you are going to start a thread, please link it to a report or article.

Paulie I had to beat Hatton; how wrong was I.

    He was useless!

My reckoning was that Hatton is past it, which he is; Mal is fast and is tough, as the
Cotto loss showed and Ricky's last fight V Lazcano was far from great.

The fight proved me right on all counts, except that Mal was CRAP!

IMO the only way a fighter can call Hatton out at 140 is if they

unify the wbc/wba/ibf/wbo titles (not that they would mean much but would be great barganing tools)
become a relatively big name/regarded no.1 challenger by a long shot within 18 months

Hatton is now looking towards Pacman, De La Hoya and Mayweather

I had thought that Malinaggio would at least trouble Hatton, I was so disappointed with him, hardly turned up really. I did notice that at one or two points in the fight Mal did throw together a combo and aced Hatton with it, he should have been doing that all fight long.

Nevertheless I'm delighted Hatton won, though you cant learn too much from the fight can you? Hatton looked great, dominant, powerful. But did he look good only because Mal was so terrible, or did Mal look terrible only because Hatton was on such good form? Tough to know.

Felt bad for Mal when the towel came in, wasnt needed and you could see that Mal was hurting because of that in the interviews after
