PC Power issue?

    Can anybody help me? The home PC is having power issues. It wont stay powered on. It will start up but just turn off after a few seconds or minutes. Its erratic really. No set time.

    Any help or suggestions? :confused:

    Overheat? Try clearing dust out of it.

    Have you tried opening up the pc to check that the psu connecter is securely connected to the MOBO?

    If so, get a voltage tester and see if all of your 12v and 5v rails are working properly. This could be putting unneccesary strain on your system.
    This of course means you will need to replace it. Make sure you get one with same wattage rating
