My friend has wrote a book and is looking to start selling it on Ebay as he has just been selling it on his own website and in local shops up to now. Can anyone give me a step by step guide for what he needs to do? He is looking to sell it as "Buy it Now".

    Thanks in advance.

You won't get better advice than from eBay themselves.

Thanks for the info. He did it last night and has advised me that he followed the steps perfectly. His book is still not appearing on Ebay and doesn't look like it is listed. How can I check to be sure it is not listed?
And is there a contact number for Ebay he can ring to help with issues.

There can be delays of up to 6 hours before an item appears in searches on the site. If you go to the Advanced Search (http://shop.ebay.ie/advsearch) you can search by seller to make sure your friend's book is visible.

It must of being the delay after it was listed. It's fine now, thanks.

Ive just been doing sum research myself now on selling on Ebay and came across this post.

    I found this video

I was wondering if any1 could help me with Calculating postage and packaging costs..etc because it is confusing me!?? Do you have to use this Royal mail system?

Cant I just pop in 2 the G.P.O. , get it packaged up and post the item from there?

Help I want to sell stuff!!

You decide what P&P you want to charge, then when somebody has paid, pack it up and post it. Best to have a pretty good idea of the cost to post as you may well underestimate and you can overestimate.

Jesus - Get a life. Nip down to your local post office and pick up a pocket size leaflet which tells you postal rates Worldwide! Do you need someone to hold your hand while you do it! Breathe in breathe out!! :D

Yes but you have to know the postage before you sell. Get a scale and weigh it yourself according to an post website.

You don't even have to do that as An post have their postal rates listed on their website. Does anyone on here ever use google?
