    Does anyone know if this Freeview Satellite box will work in Dublin? Some people say that all that is needed is an aerial? Would this work over NTL?

    The PVR9300T is no use in Ireland unless you can receive UK Digital TV via an Aerial.

    Satellite = Freesat, not freeview.

    Freeview = Aerial = UK DTT.

    You can only connect NTL supplied box to Cable and these won't work on cable, or Dish anyway.

    These are DTT boxes that only do MPEG2. Ireland uses the newer MPEG4 spec for DTT (aerial Digital TV).

    My brother has one of these working well in North Wexford with UK freeview even with the Mount Leinster DTT switched on.
    ML blocks Sky news but pretty much everything else including the music channels and the main UK terrestrials film four,E4 etc work well.
