    Hi there,
Im a chem and forensics students and woulld like to do a postgrad. Doing 1 in forensics is a bit unrealistic i know but i think i'd like to do 1 in chemistry. Im interested in org. synthesis and the chemistry/biological interface (eg. medicinal chemistry), so can any1 suggest a postgrad (here or abroad) that may be suitable?

If you want to do synthesis I'd recommend looking abroad but you'll face stiff competition for places. On the other hand, if your interested in the bio-chemistry check out NICB and BDI institutes in DCU, some good interdisciplinary work going on there. I'm sure you have a good background in spectroscopy so it would be easier to get a post-grad focusing on work covered in your degree, it will not inhibit you to do something else either.

Just one word of advice on synthesis, columns suck.
