Installer Query

I have two spare sky boxes which i'd like to use as free view boxes upstairs. They could be run off the sky dish using a quad LNB and thats about as far as my expertise goes.
Could somebody out there recommend an installer, in the north west area (north sligo, north leitrim, south donegal) who could upgrade my system for me as my DIY abilities leave a lot to be desired?

As per usual many thanks for any and all input

    SD

You may be disappointed. You'll get "Freesat" but not "Freeview".

Replacing the LNB is easy, provided it's within reach.

Forgive my ignorance, I just assumed they were the same sort of thing:rolleyes:

The LNB replacement seems straighforward but it's bringing through the cables to the spare rooms is whats stumping me. Unfortunately me mixed with DIY doesn't normally end well so I'd rather an expert do the work than have a chance of me make a ba!!s of it.

Go into an electrical store that sells sky packages and try to get a number for a sky installer. I got sky plus a couple of weeks ago and the installer came back at the weekend and put in 2 extra boxes for me for 60 quid cash in hand.

When I called sky to upgrade to sky plus I asked would the guy put my old box in another room. The sky rep said sky can't offer that service officially but to ask the installer and he'd probably do it for a few quid or recommend someone that will.

It doesn't seem to be underhand in any way. Just that sky won't offer this service as it is of no benefit to them.

I thought it was a reasonable charge and it took him about a half hour.

    Cheers lad

60sheets seems v.reasonable. I have a few numbers here now of some local installers. The missus' gonna ring around tomorrow and try and price them.
