    Which requires authentication to view, hence your browser naturally asks for the password. Nothing dodgy here.

    Just about to post the same. I had a look at the source code for the page and it appears he's trying to embed an image that is hosted on a secure server which is asking for a username/password to access the image. Innocent enough probably but if users respond with their Boards.ie username/password they will be logged on the external server.
