    Calling someone retared is offensive?

    I was recently watching E! (shut up. I wasn't at home and had no control over the tv).
    They were running a story about Madonna calling her cockerney husband "Emotionally retarded". The word retarded was bleeped out.
    I have no idea why.
    How fúcking stupid are people becoming when completely valid words are now bleeped out in case some dumb halfwit is offended because they don't actually know the meaning of the word?

    The entire world is being dumbed down due to these educationally retarded people.
    As someone with a seemingly higher than average grasp of the English language, I vow to go on the odfensive against these educationally retarded people and will make a complaint any time a valid word or phrase is bleeped out on television.
    I'm going to be the anti- Mary Whitehouse.
