Cannot get on the net

Hi
Wifes laptop has a connection to the net via wireless .
She can go on Msn but cannot get on the net with Firefox or explorer Help please:mad::mad::mad:

might be dns setting

if you type http://89.234.66.107 into a browser does it get to boards

Can you check also to see if the proxy setting is ticked on (turn it OFF) in Explorer.
(Go to "Tools" - "Internet Options" - "Connections" Tab - down the botton "Lan settings")

Sometimes for some reason this is turned on/ticked by installed apps/malware!

Run Ad-Aware by the way, free to get on the net.
