Whats my vintage kit worth?

I have a 1965 ludwig kit that I'm thinking of selling. Basically I'm looking for opinions on value.

The kit comprises a 22" bass drum, 14" rack and 16" floor. I have a vintage premier steel snare, a set of vintage hats and a vintage crash.
No cymbal stands but do have the snare stand and a speed king pedal.

When I bought the kit condition was poor but I've done some restoration and it is much better now. Anything chrome was rechromed and all shells thoroughly cleaned. Bought some original parts for it too. It has some frankenstein parts eg. bass drum legs are held on to bass drum by home made wing nuts. There is also some damage to the bass drum: at some point new legs were put on and then removed leaving some small-ish holes.

To bring this kit back to original glory you would need:

Front bass drum hoop and maybe 12 lugs.
    2 bass drum leg holders.
And for anoraks, the bass drum cymbal arm.

It is a beautiful sounding kit though, I've used it to record, never got such an incredible bass drum sound from any other kit.

I will try get some pics up in the next few days, but anyone want to offer a stab in the dark at a price??

Have a read of this, should help you value your kit.

Thanks Karl, I thought there was a post like that somewhere but couldn't find it.
I'm just finding it difficult to get a value on this coz they don't come up for sale here too often.

    I'll keep looking at ebay!

Go into x music and ask for liam, not only will he give you a good idea of its worth, he may even buy it off you as he has a weakness for vintage ludwigs!
