Sponsored links don't get as many visits as SEO and SEO is a much, much cheaper option, especially over 12 months. PPC, IMHO, can be 10 times the cost of SEO and it can be narrower. To be fair, PPC is instant and you can target other countries specifically without needing a separate site or sub-site/micro-site focused at that (there is no more global search anymore)
