Disneyland Paris

    Hi,
I'm planning on bring my fiance to Disneyland for her birthday. I've searched through old threads on Disneyland Paris and got some good tips. There are strong recommendations to fly to CDG. Ryanair is over 100 euro cheaper than Aer Lingus (€250 for Aer Lingus) but doesn't seem to be worth the hassle getting from the airport to Disneyland based on what I've read.

There are some great deals in January and we can stay in the Disney Santa Fe hotel for 3 nights with tickets for 4 days for only €352. I was only planning on staying there for 2 nights and spend the 3rd in Paris but it is such a good offer that I'll stay there and probably get the train in and out to Paris.

All in all, it is €600 for 2 of us to spend 3 nights in Disneyland Paris. Does this sound like a good deal? Is it a realistic to get the train from Disneyland to Paris and back while taking in the Louvre, Eifel Tower and Notre Dame in the same day or do we need at least 2 days for that? It is only about €25 to stay an extra day? Is it necessary to stay the extra day to take all of this in?

The Beauvais V CDG question is one only you can answer, to be honest. It depends on if you think the extra money is worth it. Factor in that it takes well over an hour from BVA to Paris and the cost of the bus (is it €14 each way now), then you're not really making that much of a saving.

With regard to staying in Disneyland and travelling back into Paris to sightsee, it's not a bad plan and it's a lot less hassle than repacking and moving camp to another hotel for one night.

You can easily do the major sightseeing in one day, but it's really just a skim and there's so much to see in Paris, you could easily spend weeks there! The Louvre alone could take a day. At peak times you could be waiting 30+ minutes just to get in. Unless you're totally committed, it's something I'd leave out as rushing around just doesn't do it justice. Musee d'Orsay or the Pompidou is better suited to this trip.

One tip though, if you're going to spend just one day in Paris, try to get to the Eiffel Tower at dusk so that way you see Paris by day and night.

Thanks Mike. I think I'll just go to CDG. Does it sound like I am getting a good deal? I've shopped around and it does seem to be the best option so far but I've never been there so don't know if I am missing something really obvious.

it is a good deal. i work in a travel agents, its in an around the cheapest ive seen for around that time..

stayed in the santa fe myself, pretty basic but you dont spend much time in the hotel anyways, great location, and the bus runs into the park nearly every five minutes.

If your only doing a day around paris , id suggest the tourist bus , its a hop on hop off , and it goes around each touristy thing , i cant remember the name of it , but when i go back into work , ill look it up for you. its about€30 euro each but well well worth it

Thanks Emo. Nice to get the opinion of a travel agent. I think I will actually book 4 nights as it works out only €25 extra and means we can do more in Paris.
