Best Jigsaw Under €100? Sick of B&D Blade Coming Loose.

    Hi,

Last year, I bought what I thought was going to be my last jigsaw - a Black & Decker from Argos or Woodies or somewhere like that. It has B&D's quicklok blade clamping mechanism which has not been worth suds, IMO.

    I don't want another B&D.

What other jigsaws can anyone recommend for under €100 or so?

It'll be used mainly for wood, possibly up to 50mm or so, but mostly for under 20-25mm, including laminate & solid wood flooring.

Most important factor hast to be the blade retention mechanism - the blade must not slip out.

    This appeals - any opinions?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Mark.

I am a full time carpenter and use th same jigsaw everyother day.

5 years ago I bought a Green Bosch jig saw for 69 euro In B&Q.

This is the same one I still use. Its the only tool I have that uses 240v.

I give this little jigger loads of abuse and have second fixed over 100 houses with it. They still sell them. SDS blades as well.

Bosch. you cant go wrong. top quality gear

Got a Bosch PST700PE today. Came with 10 free Bosch SDS-type blades included. €90.

    Should be fine.

    Thanks,

    Mark

I think that's the one I've had for ages (a new version of it anyway).

Can't fault it, given the level of use and abuse it gets.
