Here's my question, I have used waterproof trousers at skirmishes and they are excellent, you can stand/lay/kneel in anything and you don't get wet or cold.

I have a pair of Columbia Titanium, but I would like camouflage, should I buy a large pair of normal BDU trousers or should I try find myself a decent waterproof BDU

i got cammo waterproofs off a tonker there for gtac, they keep you dry but i found that the pants will make you sweat like a paedophile in a 4 year old, when wearing them, even over bdu's or jeans.
the jacket was grand though and really did the job.

I have two Arktis jackets, the waterproof pants and the normal pants. All top gear and well worth the money. I've worn the waterproofs in driving rain and snow while hunting Deer in the Kerry mountains, no bother at all even with light layers underneath. Wearing a wooly jumper underneath would be a mistake, my auld lad nearly roasted like that, then got drowned when he opened the coat to cool off! :D
