Parking in Dublin City

I work until 9pm on a Friday near Henry Street. I need the car after and before work so it's necessary to drive. However, I've noticed the excessive prices around. Jervis centre works out 12E when I park there from 2.45 to 9.00. Is there anywhere cheaper than this, within a 10 minute walk from Henry Street, which is also safe enough.
    Thanks in advance,
    Plastic-man

EDIT: The Jervis Centre also closes at 8 I think, so I got locked out a few weeks ago! Had to pick it up the next morning, not a nice experience to say the least..

prob a 15 min walk but try parking on the quays. go up along the road and then once you go past the little bridge parking is free all along the road!

Which quays are you talking about Northside or Southside? Near Liffey street or is it near the Four Courts?
    Cheers,

as if your going up towards The o2 (formerly the point :pac:), all along that road is free. bit of a walk but better than paying 12 euro a day imo.
