Hi everyone - just hoping someone could provide me with some info.
I've just moved to asia 6 weekes ago and the day after i got here i developed thrush. I ignored it for 2 weeks or so - I've never had it before so i thought it might have just been a strqange reaction to the food or something...

Anyway i then used canesten which had no effect on me whatsoever so after 4 weeks i went to the doctor. he confirmed it was mild thrush and prescribed me oral tablets (to be taken all at once), a pessary type thing to use for 7 days and a cream. Don't know the names - none were in english.

That was 2 weeks ago and i've only improved very slightly. I'm planning on going back to the doctor next week but i was just wondering if i kept using the cream could it clear up itself? Can thrush normally last this long?

Oh and i've also been using naural yoghurt which gives a bit of temporary relief

Thanks a million for any help!!!

I think that question constitutes looking for medical advice which is against the rules. Ask a doctor or chemist that question.

There's a ladies' forum that you can ask general questions about thrush in -The Ladies Lounge

Ok no probs - i was just kinda wondering if anyone knew if this was a relatively normal time span or not. I know every case would be different. I've got an appointment made for the doctor next week.
