    Hi

I am currently completing an application form and one of the question asks me to demonstrate experince of:-

    'Building Information Capacity and Expertise'

Only problem is I do no know what that means. :(

Prior questions have asked me to demonstrate experience of collecting and manipulating information, indentifying sourcing information, etc; all of which I ahve successfully answered.

    Any help is greatly apreciated

    Thanks K

It sounds like they want to know about your ability to learn new things - reading, researching etc. I would suggest you focus on things you've learned for yourself, outside of training classes, and where/how you have found the correct information. If it's a technical job, something like having learned a new programming language to complete a project.

I've encountered a similar question before but it's been phrased as "Using and developing professional expertise". They're more than likely looking for examples of independent learning. Might be an idea to answer it in stages:

Encountered problem that you were not able to solve completely (stimulus for learning) ->
How you went about researching the relevant information ->
Ways in which you applied this new knowledge to various situations.
