Save yourself

    I come in peace.

Just like Gareth37, who regularly spams the Atheism forum, "I don't mean to cause any annoyance, but" ..
if I can save one person from a lifetime of delusion, I'll be very happy indeed.
Unlike Gareth37, one post will be enough for me....

Treat yourself to some skeptical enquirey.
Learn how to discover truth in a rational way.
    Don't believe everything you read.
    Challenge your leaders.
    Question your beliefs.
Why live in fear of a mythical entity?

Are you sure there is a God?
    Positive?
How much thought have you given it?

Save yourself from religion. Save your children from religion.

Save yourself from a lifetime of worry, pressure, guilt, uncertainty, insecurity and delusion.

You don't need to believe in a divine entity to be a good person. Not Yaweh, God, Allah, Zeus, Thor, or any other.

You don't need antiquated, man-made religion to live a happy, fulfilled life.

Goodness is inate. Human beings are animals, closely related to other apes, such as chimpanzees. The cosmos is wonderful, scary, fascinating, and HUGE beyond our imagination.

Death is tragic, but we hope to leave a better world for our children. Life is a privelage.

    Peace :)

But isn't it worth it for everlasting life?

I'm agnostic, but it's highly insulting to assume Gareth37 speaks for the entire Christianity Board.:)

Not really, Coz if being a non- sinner is that dull and boring now- an eternity of it seems aaaaagggessss ;)
Anyway, no real way for knowing for sure you get to actually know your having everlasting life or enjoy it.

Thanks for that womoma but I don't see how that would be positive at all. The point of Christianity is to free yourself from the slavery of sin and aim to put oneself right with God in the final days. It's actually about liberation in itself.

I personally do not believe goodness is innate, the degree of goodness that you may have is very different to the one I probably have. So it depends largely on how you seek to define goodness. Why isn't my version of goodness innate in you, and yours in mine? This alone indicates that is false.

As for the point of everlasting life, that isn't the reason why many people follow Christianity in the modern world today. I see the afterlife as secondary to my purpose and my fulfilment in God in the current life.

Treat yourself to some skeptical enquirey. I have done and guess what I'm still a Christian
Learn how to discover truth in a rational way. I have done.
    Don't believe everything you read. I don't
Challenge your leaders. I most certainly do
Question your beliefs. Have always questioned everything.
Why live in fear of a mythical entity? I don't live in fear of him.

Are you sure there is a God? Yes
    Positive? Yes
How much thought have you given it? Verging on 15 years

Save yourself from religion. Save your children from religion. Why save myself from something that has only been a positive and enriching experience for me?

Save yourself from a lifetime of worry, pressure, guilt, uncertainty, insecurity and delusion. It has only caused me peace and joy

You don't need to believe in a divine entity to be a good person. Not Yaweh, God, Allah, Zeus, Thor, or any other. If it makes people happy, why not?

You don't need antiquated, man-made religion to live a happy, fulfilled life.It has made me certainly very fulfilled

Done it already. I was saved from all that stuff the day I received Jesus as my saviour. :)

He has also spelled: "enquirey" and "inate" incorrectly. What's your point? Or are you just being a childish little spelling nazi?

    Hi Silenceisbliss,

I suppose I was quite annoyed at the time that he was assuming I feel all these things 'worry, pressure, guilt, uncertainty, insecurity and delusion' when he doesn't know anything about me. I was annoyed and I got some satisfaction out of correcting his spelling.
Childish yes, I'm human. and I'm sorry!

No problem at all if you can apologise. I just dislike when people try to use spelling mistakes to degrade someone or demean somebody’s argument.

Indeed, and as a moderating note I would ask posters not to get pedantic with one another about spelling. I hate bad spelling as much as anyone, but even I suffer from 'fat fingers' and make the occasional typo.

The only exception to this rule is when atheist trolls drop in to post about how Christians are uneducated, ignorant and irrational. Anyone who accuses anyone else of being uneducated, yet displays the spelling and grammar of a 5-year old, is asking for it.

As much as I agree with a lot of your (OP) post, starting a trolling the natives thread in the same manner as Gareth37 does nobody any good.

It would be, but I never made that assumption. One could be insulted that you assumed I made that assumption despite having not asserting it, but I'm a reasonable soul.

Anyway thanks again anyone who read or replied.
Thanks mods for allowing a somewhat controversial thread.
It is polite to give thanks and praise.

Sorry about the spelling errors, though accidental, they might make the parody more authentic. Just kidding. Peace.

Concerning the outbreak of trolling on the A&A forum: Those who live by the sword etc.
