I'm looking at different ways to connect my Macbook to my tv, I figured out the best way for my tv is by using the apple mini-dvi to video adapter, but was wonder were I could find a cable to connect from the video adapter to my tv. I think its a composite cable or an s-video one. Thats the thing i'm not too sure about. Heres the link to the mini-dvi adapter that i'm going to get.

    Cheers

If your TV has S-Video, you should use that instead of Composite for the best results (unless of course you have an HDTV, in which case neither is the best way to go). You can find cables in a load of places, like Maplin's, Peats, even Argos or you could try online (though it might not be worth it shipping-wise, the cables should not be that expensive in the shops anyway).

You obviously forget where they make their profit.

Monster cables: because paying 200%+ mark-up for fancy packaging is a priviledge.

Monster (as in Monster Rip-off) cables are not the only thing on sale in most shops, especially for things like a simple composite or S-video cable, there are plenty of dirt cheap versions available around.

Yep, s-video and 3.5mm jack to red/white composite for sound. Works a treat.

DVI to HMDI will give you the best results - that's what I use for my Mac Mini to an HD projector.

We have loads of Mac Mini's running display screens and we use a mixture of DVi adapters to HMDI with no problems.

Have some spare cables if you want one. (Long cables though 5M)
