I'm obsessed with my weight. I would never consider myself anorexic or anything but i'm really quite slim, and i really like it that way. Recently i got sick after a meal, not to purposely get sick however i just felt really ill. Then i couldn't eat for about five days and i saw myself getting thinner. I really like it when you can see my ribcage bones and hip bones. And since i did that, i'm trying to eat less. or i'd eat alot one day, and starve myself the next, to kinda, even it out.
I only thought about it today, and how maybe, it's the beginning of making myself really ill which i don't want. I just want to stay thin. I just would like to know if it's worth going to the doctor about.

I think there's enough in your post to suggest that going to see the Doctor would be a good thing, even just to talk about things. I have absolutely no knowledge about the subject, but I'd imagine that 'really liking' the sight of your hip bones and ribs, and talking frankly about starving yourself means that you are potentially prone to taking things to a more serious level. It definitely wouldn't hurt anyway.

It sound's like a problem to me!

Is there someone you trust who has a good
head on their shoulders you could talk too.

    Dont ignore it,
you need help to sort it out.

It's not healthy to starve your body,
    you could loose your hair,your
skin would suffer, your teeth will become rotten
people will notice if you keep this up,
your not fooling anyone but yourself.
better to do something about it now
while you still have some control,
it's a slippery slope down to
    medical/psychatric help being required.

    Take care.

Read the post below this about the
girl who's eating disorder is ruining her life,
ask her how it started, she probably
liked the look of her rib's too.

It's not a good habit to get into, for starters your depriving your body of certain things it needs. I've been stomach sick on and off for near 2 years and my weights hit some lows, I'll agree it can be nice to be slimmer sometimes but even I get worried if I think I'm losing too much. I don't think it's a good idea to associate not eating with being slim - I certainly don't like the fact that I can't really eat, weight loss is not a positive side effect.

You can eat normally, healthily and exercise more to keep slim, tone up etc. Skipping food means you'll lose muscle too, which has happened me, I used to have much stronger thighs and upper arms but don't now. You might be best to go to the doctor just to talk things out. But I think you should also consider changing your food/exercise habits, more food, more exercise and you can keep trim and healthy.
