Need advice on free to air tv

Hope someone out there can offer some advice - I'm very ignorant on these matters. In an attempt to save money I am considering cancelling my chorus subscription. What I'd like to know is - is there any way I can get satellite/cable/digital tv for free without having to install a satellite dish. I found this site but it looks like you have to have a dish put up http://www.satellite.ie/index.html I live in rented accomodation and will more than likely be moving in 6 months or so, so don't want to go to the expense of having a dish put up and then having to put it up again when I move (& I wouldn't be able to do it myself!). Does anyone know of something like a chorus type box I can buy for a one off cost that will pick up a decent selection of channels?

    Many thanks for any advice.

You have to have a dish. Min 60cm
It need not be high and can even work on the ground sitting in an old car tyre, if not blocked view to SE sky.

A system (Box, dish, cable, bracket, LNB etc) is from €65. Install if not DIY is about €50 to €250 depending on quality.

You can subscribe to sky for 1 year and get the free channels when you cancel. Unlike Chorus/NTL you own the box from day 1. With the Free install Sky can work out good value. Unless you DIY.
