schengen visa for non-eu

hey there
i am non EU living in ireland.
to visit mainland europe, i need schengen visa.

i looked at the visa application and they need my bank statements
for financial support.

the current statement up-to-date is very bad (not much money)

do the embassy guys call my AIB bank to check my balance is correct or not?

i'd be very surprised to find a bank that would give you a false statement (saying you have extra money in your account)

the embassy wouldnt be able to call the bank, but see my point above

Your bank doesn't have the right to give out any details of your bank balance.

Hello i was just wondering before i apply for a shengan visa for my wife who is ukrainian and i am irish does she need a visa for travelling to the czech republic
