sorry now if this is a kind of a stupid post but iv been really worried for the past 2 weeks that im pregnant. thing is iv only just turned 17 and in 6th year and the possible father is 25. my parents dont know about the lad so i was sneaking out to him and they will go spa if they find out. i cant buy a pregnancy test as im never in town and my periods are quite irregular so tis hard to know. my ma has noticed how tired iv been lately and wants to take me to the doctor but i was like no way coz she could find out from the doctor if i am. as if that wasnt bad enough twas while me and my boyfriend were on a break, he asked me if i rode anyone while we were on the break and i told him no as i know he wouldn't have taken me back otherwise. i guess what im really asking is are there any kind of obvious signs that i could be at this early stage or am i just being stupid worrying about it until i know for definite? sorry this post is a bit long and rambling on but i am all over the place at the moment.

If you go to the dr you can ask to see them on your own as you are over the age of 16.
You should really find away to get to a chemist and by a test.

You owe your boyfriend the truth. Its very unfair, and whereas he might understand if you tell him now, no way will he stay with you if you're suddenly pregnant by another unknown guy, or if he even finds out you were with him and lied.

And you need to get to a chemist or doctor, no matter what. Say you need to go for a day shopping, or get a friend to. Anything. You need to know ASAP.

If you think you're pregnant then take a test, every chemist has them and you can get them over the internet. The doctor is a better option, they can talk you through your options and where you should go from here if you are pregnant. If you've just started 6th year then you're probably feeling a bit of pressure regarding the leaving cert also, try to breathe and realise that both the leaving and being pregnant are not the end of the world, but you won't know what to do until you know for sure.

The only way to be sure is to get a test / see the doctor. If you were able to sneak out to see this older guy - can you not sneak out and get a test? Or try and go shopping (even with parents) and go off on your own, say you want to buy presents or something.
Or as Thaed said, if your mother brings you to your doctor, just go in on your own as you're old enough to -- good luck. Plus not to add to your worry but if you slept with someone unprotected - you might want sti checks too, especially if you're back with your boyfriend.

If you're old enough to have sex, then you're old enough to deal with the possible consequences of having sex.

    Go to the doctor.

if you're in 6th yr it's possible your period is late from stress-and freaking out about being pregnant will add to that stress!
do yourself a favour and get a test ASAP, im sure you can think of an excuse to go into town? and if you are pregnant, there's several options open to you. god knows you're not the first 17 yr old to be in this position and you sure as hell won't be the last!
