I have a spreadsheet with a column of names, not in alphabetical order.

However the name in the cell is in the format Firstname Surname

I want to sort the column alphabetically, but by Surname

Is there any way I can flip the name in the cells by having them Surname Firstname without having to retype them all? Then I can sort by surname alphabetically

Select column. Go to 'Data' - 'Text to Columns' - 'Delimited' -then select 'space'. This will give you two separate columns.
