    Sounds interesting.
What do you fish for usually, Degsy?

I'm trout and pike mainly from float tube. But at this time of year I like to go beachcasting for occasional evening sessions -Sth Dublin, Nth Wicklow area.
Lots of the other forum members are primarily sea tanglers.
You should get more responses soon.

The general situation is the whiting are in, flounders have been going lately, but the codling have not yet arrived. Waiting for colder weather to move inshore I guess.

I havnt fished freswater this year at all.
I caught a couple of nice bass in july and apart from a few eels thats been about it.
During the summer i'd also fish for mackies and the occasional pollack.
I know a mark that used to be pretty good in the late aumtumn/winter for codling, flounders etc but i havnt fished ther in ages so i wouldnt mind finding out if its still fishing. Its also a good spot to dig bait.
