perhaps he is going to work in an Authorised Reseller... some retail outlets are getting the 'apple treatment' their stores... but as purely retail units... (e.g. 3G, Dixons) no 'real' Apple Store for us for the foreseeable future... well that was the official word by the Apple Ireland people at a presentation 6 weeks ago... and they were pretty categorical... (as the question was put several ways ;))

    You could be right.

A main street Apple reseller would do really well I reckon.

Yup, and tbh, IF an Applestore did come to Ireland I doubt the first one would be in Limerick. Dublin most likely, or Cork being the Euro home would be far more obvious choices.

It is not an Apple Store, it is just an Apple Premium Reseller.

There is also one in Galway.

I believe it's just a reseller, not an official store. As everyone already said, an official one would be in Dublin and/or Cork... certainly not Limerick.

Apple's Irish strategy is to look at how the store-in-stores work in PC World Airside & Jervis St. before moving on, AFAIK

Bit crap though all the same. CompuB have kept Apple users in Limerick going for 10+ years, Im sure there business will be dramatically hit by this.

ad in the limerick post this week saying that it is actually compub that are reopening on o connell street which is great news! ! if memory serves they were supposed to be moving to a shop higher up the street earlier in the year but they should have more foot fall here

Would be great to see CompuB on a more high profile position, I've bought all my Macs from them going back many years, great bunch to deal with
