What rights do I have?

What rights do i have given that i haven't signed a lease? I know it's stupid, and ive been around enough to know that, but it was kinda rushed and last minute, wanted the keys asap. The landlord initially tried to get us to sign a contract, but we kept delaying until he eventually gave up or forgot. Thinking of moving out now, and I'm wondering am I entitled to my deposit back, if i give him sufficient notice?

You need to give sufficient notice in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act - it varies depending on how long you have been there. Have a look at www.prtb.ie

As to whether you might be held against the contract you were meant to sign, I don't no, but would hazard a guess at "no" when it comes to duration of stay.
