anyone know of any places that it's still possible to pick up a hd dvd drive for the 360 in the dublin/wicklow area and for what sort of prices are they at?

seen the odd one on line, but would prefer to buy it in a shop if possible

or if its not possible, any really cheap ones online that ye know of?

    cheers.

HMV Grafton Street still have a few but they are looking for €59 for them.

Keep an eye out for any that may pop up in a Cash Convertors or the like.

ill give you my one with 300 and enter the dragon for 50 mate.

To be honest, they are completely wothless, the quality is crap and the movie selection is terrible.

Dont bother, even for the cheap price

I bought mine for ~20€ and it come with the DVD Remote which sells for ~35€ by itself. I've only used it for DVD playback and it is a lot quieter then using the built-in DVD drive.

The only bugbear I have is that you can play audio cd's from it at all, would love to me able to play non-ripped/streamed audio while playing games....

i thought the overall quality would be almost exactly the same as bluray? bar the discs having smaller capacity.
as for the choice of movies, amazon/play.com etc seem to have some great films id love to have in hd, some of the old classics, terminators etc and they also seems to be dirt cheap, 5-10euro range
