Sky+ Connecting to a PC & Also Channel 5 FTA Question

    Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before but I tried searching and couldn't find an answer.

Getting sky+ at the weekend and I was wondering if it is possible to connect sky plus to my PC to copy the recorded programmes from the Sky+ box to my PC (to free up Hard Drive space, etc)?

Also I hear that C5 is FTA now. I have a Lidl system in another room in my house. If I perform a scan (which I did only on Monday to get More 4,etc) will I see channel 5 pop up on the list of channels or do I need to do something special to get it?

Finally I've never been able to find BBC 4 on my FTA box? Is it called something else or am I missing something?

When I scan for new channels I only scan for free channels if that makes any difference.

    Any answers greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

five (Channel 5) is FTA, when you scanned on Monday it was still testing under the name 6335, it changed to five sometime Monday. Rescan frequency 10773.00 H and you should see it with its proper name.

BBC3 and 4 start broadcasting at 7.00 pm, these channels share with CBBC and CBebbies. Do a rescan after 7 in the evening it will be there (same frequency as five above).

Stick with scanning FTA channels only otherwise you'll have a lot of unavailable sub channels to delete.

I dont have Sky+ but I think the only way to get programmes off the drive is to play them back.

Thanks very much for such a quick response. I was wondering about the BBC4 issue for ages but didn't see much point in asking seperately as I doubt I'll watch much on it.

    Thanks again.
