I've had a look around on the net for alloys but would fell more comfortable looking at alloys in person. Where is the best resource? Also, is it possible to fit the alloys to the tyres I already have as they are relatively new. Thanks.

    how are ya dave!

NO problem fitting the tyres you already have once the alloys you get are the same size as the wheel you have now.

There are loads of tried and tested alloys out there for the golf, wheels like audi reps are all to popular, maybe a little too popular.

If you want to spend a bit more and get something a little more special then brands like BBS,O.Z etc are the ones to go for

I was thinking of something more understated, like these:

Roughly what should I be expecting to pay for a set like these?

Alloy-Whells.ie have alot of wheels you can see on display. They're based in Blanchardstown. The do various different replicas and a few OZ/Fondmetal etc too.

For a set of replicas (without tyres) you're looking at 460-500eur.

Good choice dave, you cant get lots of understated OEM alloys for the mk4 golf from 15" to 17" what engine is in the golf? as you might be restricted in wheel size.

you wont get thosewheels new but plenty available secondhand from breakers yards etc,i wouldnt pay more than 400 with decent tyres.

+1 for vagdrivers and alloywheels.ie too
