CoD WaW freezing!

    ANyone else havint this problem? It freezes onthe 1st mission after the 2 flares are thrown into the sky at the ambush, right before I have to stick my knife in the barrel of fuel. I got the gamw 2-3 days ago and exchanged it for a new disc today, thinking the disc might be faulty. Not the case. The game freezes in the same point give or take a hundred metres in game. Every other game plays fine in the Xbox????? The disc is clean, the Xbox is only 2 weeks old.

    Any ideas?

    And that's on the XboX? Bloody hell that game was rushed to the stores with no consideration for us customers...

    As for your issue OP, I wouldn't know what to do as I only play PC games... Sorry and good luck!

    I sorted the problem, sort of.

    I set up a new profile with a different name and it got past the "freeze" point no bother and has been playing ever since without a problem. I can only guess there was a glitch with the original profile and the game save. It doesn't make sense but thats what fixed it. Does seem a little rushed alright.

    Yeah man mine is freezing too! Even brought the game back today to get a new one cause it kept happening but even the new one now is still freezing at a certain point in the campaign! Sooo annoying!!
    Do you reckon there is something wrong with the game then?
    I looked online and we're not the only ones having the problem!!

    I purchased Call of Duty World at War on PS3 and it worked fine for a week. On friday night it would not load and the screen froze. I have done the following

    1. Checked if other titles were working on the PS 3 - All fine
    2. Ask my mate if his CoD was working and he was having the same problem. Tried my disk on his machine - no luck
    3. Changed disc in shop (twice) - same problem

    Any ideas ??

    Got the game last Wednesday(19/11/08)

    Half way through one of the first missions, the screen went to the loading screen with the cod logo in the bottom corner

    It would then go to the main menu with a info box saying "bad error type 1234567" (cant remember the number!)

    I went back into the mission and i had to start the mission from the start again! even though i was near the end of it and had passed loads of checkpoints

    Didnt think much of it as I completed the mission without problem without interruption.

    However it has happened around 5 more times since in different places of different missions.

    Is this a disc problem or wha?
    Any ideas
    its very annoying and im just playing multiplayer now because of it ruining my missions!:mad:
