Yesterday I was on my way to Lagos Airport in Nigeria and took a drive through Redemption City - the campground of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

This campground hosts the largest gathering of Christians anywhere in the world at their annual Prayer Conference - 4.5 million this year! They have been constructing a new auditorium which seats 1 million people.

I can't even begin to describe how big such a building actually is. Imagine 15 Croke Parks joined together under a single roof.

Redemption City also contains its own schools, University, power plant, water treatment plant, banks, supermarkets etc. This is all built by an entirely indigenous Nigerian denomination with no outside help from missionaries.
