Hi, does anyone remember the Hands series that used to be on tv? It's about the traditional way of life in Ireland like bayting shtones, mining coal, baking bread etc.

This would make a really great christmas present. Is it available on dvd?

    That's way too expensive.

They should be able to fit four episodes on a single layer DVD.
Shouldn't be more than EUR 100.

If this was a BBC or ITV programme it would have had a DVD release long ago.

That's ridiculous money for an old TV show like that. If they stuck a load of episodes on a double DVD and flogged it for €20 at Christmas, it would sell a few copies I'd say.

The irony is that this was probably a years wages for some of the tradespeople who took part in the series.
