Media centre software/hardware for Mini?

Hi, just bought an old Mini 1.25Ghz with no Frontrow and Remote.

Does anyone know if it would be posssible to use that on my older Mini?
For instance, could I buy and IR receiver to work with Frontrow and the Apple Remote?

Also I am looking for good media centre software and iTunes + Frontrow is the bare minimum. XBMC only works on an Intel Mac.

Is there any media software out there that can be controlled by a IR remote or a blue tooth remote?

There are IR receivers to use the Apple remote on Macs that don't have one - like this:

You could also use something like a Wii-mote via bluetooth with Remote Buddy:

Software is trickier though - I use Plex myself, but that (and OSXBMC) is Leopard/Intel only. There used to be another package called "CenterStage", but I checked their site and they are busy integrating it with Plex... so no ideas on that front I'm afraid...
