PLEASE MOVE IF IN WRONG PLACE; How do you know if an account is closed when you send it an e mail, will you always get a delivery failure message back? can you find out if an email address is still active?

If you send mail to a hotmail account that is not in use any more I think it returns a mail "No such user" or similar. This is standard to let senders know mail is rejected by recipients system.
