Itouch - Sound Quality

    Hi

This might be a problem with downloads etc but someof the albums / tracks on my Itouch play at a really low volume while others play at a reasonable level.

The volume bar is at it's highest.

I don't think it's to do with the album quality as some albums that may be 120mb play a lot lower than an album that would be 65mb (or does this even matter)

    Any ideas?

Would it be my earphones (I don't know if this happens to other people but sometimes it seems to play louder all round too than other times)

MAybe my ears just needs a little cleaning out :D

    What version is the software?

    Hey,

Normalising your MP3 collection might help solve the problem:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_normalization

There's plenty of software out there that will automatically do it for you (quite a few links in the article above), it might take a while for the process to run and you'd need to copy all your music over to your itouch again but once you've done it all your music should play at the same level so you wont find yourself having to constantly turn up and down the volume for different tracks.

    Hope that helps,

    R.
